The First Step In Retaining Customers

There are three main areas which we need to focus on in building our business, which I call ACR - Attraction, Conversion, & Retention. First we have to attract the right customers to us, then we must convert prospects into paying customers, and finally we must retain them so they invest in our products and services over and over again.

The following idea has been the cornerstone of my success, and has provided the most value to the success of my business over the years. Retaining customers is far easier, more cost-efficient, and less labor-intensive than acquiring new customers.

In this video I share with you one simple idea that will start the process of building relationships with your customers, so they come back and buy from you again and again.

My Promise To You in 2014

This is the first blog post of the year, and I want to wish you all a very happy New Year! Most people start the year by making New Year resolutions, and some people hate making New Year resolutions. I think of New Year resolutions as just another way of setting goals, and I'm a huge believer in setting goals and creating a plan for achieving those goals.

If you were to ask most people what kind of goals they've set for themselves, it doesn't take a psychic or a mentalist to predict what they're going to say. Usually it has to do with one of three things. The first is in regards to health. People want to lose weight, eat right, go to the gym, and create more vitality. The second has to do with finances. People want to create more income, save more money, pay off debt, and invest for the future. The third goal usually has something to do with relationships. They want to have better relationships with their spouse, family, friends, co-workers, and business associates.

I'm going to share with you one of my goals for the year, and it has to do with the third item, which is relationships. In particular, my relationship with you. That's right, you, the viewer, the person who's reading this blog post and watching this video.

Over the last few years, I've been on a mission to share information with you to help grow your business, and increase your income, but I have to admit I've done a very poor job of doing that. My blog posts and video posts have been very sporadic, so this year my goal is to do this on a regular basis. My PROMISE to you is that I will put out at least one blog or video post each and every week. Each post will contain valuable information that will help you in growing your business and increasing your income.

I'll be blogging about marketing, business development, personal development, and public speaking. I believe that public speaking is the fastest way to grow your business regardless of what business you're in. Sharing information about your expertise and helping others achieve their own goals is a sure fire way to succeed in any business.

If you haven't already done so, write down your goals for the year. As Brian Tracy says, a goal is not a goal unless it's written down, so write down your goals, create a plan to achieve those goals, and work on that plan every single day. If you work this simple strategy, you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish.

What Does This Have To Do With Marketing?

Q: What does playing guitar have to do with marketing? A: It has everything to do with marketing.

I'd like to talk about social media marketing with an emphasis on Facebook. Over the last few years I've been able to use Facebook as an effective marketing tool for my business, and I'd like to share some insights.

There is a school of thought that says you should only make posts on Facebook that are related to your business. You should never make posts regarding your personal life. I completely disagree.

In this day and age people are tired of dealing with big corporations that give no human interaction. People are more inclined to do business with others they know, like, and trust. It's been this way since the beginning of the human race; people doing business with others they know, like, and trust. By sharing your personal life with others, people get to know you, and assuming you're a likable person, will be more inclined to do business with you.

This is why I decided to share a video of me playing the guitar. It's a part of my life, and although I'm sure there will be some who may knock my playing ability, I'm rather proud of the fact that I had the guts to put this up considering that I no longer practice on a regular basis. Still, it's a joy to play the guitar, and I hope to eventually have the time to perform again.

I want to share with you the top three reasons why every business owner should have a blog. Whether your a magician, musician, variety artist, speaker, coach, consultant, a product-based business, or a service-based business, every business can benefit from having a blog.
